I can tell I'm definitely getting stronger. Last time I worked out with my trainer (Crest Fitness' Adam Freeman), I did 45 REAL pushups. They weren't pretty... but more importantly, they weren't modified. And just a few weeks ago, I probably couldn't do more than five! But something I found interesting... Adam said it takes less time to get in shape than it does to get out of shape. Meaning, it usually takes years for a person to become an unhealthy weight. You may only gain 2 pounds a year, but after a couple of decades, it adds up. Bo Dean will tell you it took him years to get into the predicament he was in before losing more than 100 pounds. Adam helped Bo lose more than 100 pounds in about a year. Now, that's inspiring! What are you going to do today?

I'm pretty ugly before exercising. I should look quite horrid with your wonderful workout. Thanks for the post Michelle, you are an inspiration.

Oh, you're so funny Michelle. I know, I need to be doing something too. I have the key to the pool where we live, so I can exercise early in the morning when no one is around, but now I can't seem to get my butt up early enough to get over there, ugh!

I'm 37. Going back to college in 28 days to start the journey toward a meteorology degree (thanks Robb!). I'm 288 pounds, prediabetic and have obstructive sleep apnea. I have a wife and a 4-year-old son. I would like to a) live long enough to receive my Master's, and b) live long enough to see my son graduate high school, get married, have a family. My son is my hero. He motivates me every day to try to be a little bit better of a human being.. healthier, happier, kinder (is that a proper word?).

Awesome and inspirational Michelle! It's true what they say about a runner's high. I just started training for a 5k (I have NEVER run in my life) and it is the most exhilarating feeling.

I will be getting married in 7 short weeks. I havent done a thing to get in shape. Fast food and soda were a regular thing for me, along with a sedentary lifestyle. But a few weeks ago I realized that my 4 year old was falling into all my bad habits. So I decided to give up soda as a 1st step. It has snowballed and now I am eating right, exercising, and getting the RDA of water for the first time in FOREVER! So, I guess you could say my daughter, my wedding, and my fiance are my motivators everyday.
