I can tell I'm definitely getting stronger. Last time I worked out with my trainer (Crest Fitness' Adam Freeman), I did 45 REAL pushups. They weren't pretty... but more importantly, they weren't modified. And just a few weeks ago, I probably couldn't do more than five!
But something I found interesting... Adam said it takes less time to get in shape than it does to get out of shape. Meaning, it usually takes years for a person to become an unhealthy weight. You may only gain 2 pounds a year, but after a couple of decades, it adds up. Bo Dean will tell you it took him years to get into the predicament he was in before losing more than 100 pounds. Adam helped Bo lose more than 100 pounds in about a year.
