I love thrift store shopping. I recently found these Ashley furniture bar stools for $5.99! In the spring, I'm going to repaint them white and add some stress to them. I already re-covered them. (Actually, my big sister did it for me because she is really good, but I sat there and supported her!) In all, I spent nearly $19 on the stools and about $14 on the fabric. The fabric was on sale at Joann for $4.99 a yard and I bought 2.5 yards. I could have done it with 2 yards. Anyway, I have been searching for bar stools for my basement for some time... and the ones on Craigslist have been well over $100. I mean, you can't beat $6! That's cheaper than a latte! I don't know about you, but I feel so guilty buying some things new. I like to reuse, reduce and recycle! (Or upcycle in this case!)
I'd love to hear your thrift store adventures!

Checkout the UW SWAP. I scored a small card catalog from the UW Memorial library which I transformed into a ottoman/coffee table. Love it. 😀
