The other day my chief photographer, Ryan, made a joke that his girls now insist on going to Staples every week to buy school supplies. This, of course, is thanks to our weekly segments. The girls actually plan their trips to see what they can get on sale!
As a kid, I loved getting new school supplies... especially a new school box and pencils. Is that weird? I think all kids are a little like that, right?
Anyway, I told Ryan this: "Sunday is for Staples."
See the breakdown of the deals
WHY? Sunday is the day Staples rolls out its sales. You can grab the ad from the Sunday paper. Or you can just wake up and walk into the store. The benefit to getting the ad from the Sunday paper is that sometimes there's an extra savings coupon, like $5 off or something.
This week, I spent $2.50 on about $41 worth of paper, pens, pencils, erasers and notepads. That's about a 94-percent savings!
