Thanks to smart shopper, Mare G., I started my own journey of smart shopping. She is amazing at saving. Recently, I asked people to show me their stockpiles... and Mare delivered! You can read more about her awesome shopping trips on her Facebook page, I Got It Free with Coupons. It's highly-recommended reading. "Well, this is part of my stock pile. It rotates from time to time depending on what I use and give away. I'm fortunate enough to have learned the art of couponing, and even more fortunate enough in these tough times to be able to help others," said Mare.
SHOW ME YOUR STOCKPILE! And win big! I'm working on a plan at Fox Wilmington to get people to save money and live better... I just really can't announce it yet because some of it is still in development. But, if you show me your stockpile or a recent shopping trip (and break down the savings), I'll keep track of it for a later prize. Either share it here on my website... or on FoxWilmington.com under the hot shots! Look forward to seeing all that you can do!

Hey no worries! Good luck, Karen! Just keep us posted! And Yvonne! That's awesome! You can just show one pic if you want! Mare has more, too, but she just uploaded one.

So that where all the good coupon stuff is! Every time I go to the store to collect on my coupon items the shelves are cleared! I think the stores should prepare better & stock according to coupon deals so all of us who only plan on using 1-2 coupons will have a chance to save a little too! Nice stockpile tho :)

It's hard for stores to stock accordingly. You either order too little and have customers complain, or your order too much and have stuff back stocked for months. Limiting the amount of items per person is easier :)

Brandi, the stores in our area have actually gotten better about stocking for demand. I know it's frustrating to find empty shelves, but keep in mind, these stores will restock some items throughout the week, so you might want to work it into your schedule that you swing by at other times of the week. =) I cant say the same for the drug stores but I think the managers are becoming more in tune to demands. Being a user of coupons myself, I agree that there should be a daily purchase limit of items so everyone can share in the savings!

Well, you also have to take into consideration that she most likely didn't buy all of this all at one time, or even a few times. I have an enormous stockpile but it is the product of getting some things every week over the course of an entire year. A lot of the really good deals at places like Harris Teeter and Lowe's require you to combine the coupon with an e-coupon, which means unless you have a whole lot of cards (hard to do since HT now requires ID to get a VIC card) you only get one. And CVS places limit restrictions on a lot of their free items as well, i.e. one per card. I am sure there are some who have a card for every member of their family, but those people I would hope are few and far between.
