I'm sure there are a lot of sleepy people out there this weekend after the Brunswick County Relay for Life! 
I loved saying a few words to kick off the Kids Walk this year. They were so excited! And many of them had stayed up the night before - so they were getting tuckered out. Big congrats to Eileen Arnett - she's in the 8th grade and designed the winning Relay shirt! She's such a sweet girl. Her whole family was pretty awesome. I met so many great people this weekend! We are really blessed with awesome weather, surroundings and people.

It was great to have you there, those kids are the future of Relay for Life. Thats why Amercian Cancer Society does great things with schools. Our schools and clubs in Brunswick county are awesome and without them we couldnt do it!! Thanks again for all yours support. Hope to see you there again next year.

It was a real pleasure meeting you Saturday morning. The kids had fun meeting you. Kaitlin could not wait to go to school Monday to tell them she had her picture taken with her. Kaitlin and I was doing that walk along with our school but also for my dad who was taken from us do to cancer. Leave a Reply. |
