Days 2 and 3 were quite the whirlwind. First of all, I've had a blast covering the Final Four. Of course, we are ready to play at this point (and catch some sleep!) It was incredible to see my dear friend Renee Chou, the morning anchor for WRAL in Raleigh. It's so amazing how this career has allowed me to meet so many wonderful people. Renee and I have known each other for years and I loved living near her in North Carolina. She's so smart and beautiful and she beaming as a new mom. I wasn't expecting to see her and when my co-worker bumped into her and told me about it, I literally started crying out of excitement... and reached out to her immediately. Just love her! We've also had fun running amok every now and then. We went to the media dinner at the Fan Fest last night and tried to play a few of the games. That is the foul part of this post because needed more practice! I demand a rematch! Dannika has a pretty great swing, right? News 3 photojournalist Lance Heidt tried to conquer the buzzer beater -- he did make a 3 pointer with 4 seconds to go! (SPOILER: Just not in this video) Another foul? Thursday's weather. At first we thought it might be severe, but really it ended up being just a heavy downpour. We actually lost the satellite signal for a bit but were fine by the time we needed to be on air. But let's end this post on an upswing. Going back to the friends theme, we've made some really awesome new ones. That is the one thing I love about covering these kinds of events. Go Badgers!
