We're at the point where we have no more live shots to do until after the Badger game. We've taken countless selfies (kidding), done a 100 liveshots and even made a few new friends.
One of the highlights of the trip? A woman came up to me to tell me she followed the road trip we took down to Indy!
I loved seeing Amber Philpott of WKYT in Lexington -- we basically have the same job. I met her last year and it was so nice to see her again. She has been on the road for three weeks! I thought a week was a lot to take in. She did kind of slip up and say something to me about shooting stories on Sunday to work ahead for Monday... and I thought -- not if you lose! :) I didn't say anything so if she reads this, I hope it makes her laugh.
We also had a nice 1-hour special called Return 4 The Title. Pulling off those 1-hour live shows are always interesting but we manage to get it on air. Of course, it was nice getting to hang out withWKBT's Mike Thompson for a bit -- it was a quick intro but it was nice nonetheless!
And then there's Dannika. Enough said.
She "borrowed" my phone and took a handful of selfies! People have been coming up to me saying, "I've never seen a selfie stick in real life!" but they always seem like they want to get one by the end of the conversation. I don't just use them for selfies, but sometimes they're really great to take pictures of crowds because you can extend the monopod way into the air. (See the video below!)
Dannika and I met a lot of fans at the pep rally Saturday and we've just had a ball talking to so many Badger fans this week. We love you guys!
