It started with an intro from Susan Siman and Eric Franke for Live at 5 (scroll to about 27:00.) And then, the first 6 p.m. newscast. I was hoping it would feel good because my day started at 4 a.m. when I woke up with burning hives from a food allergy. I drove from downtown Madison all the way to Middleton in search of a 24-hour pharmacy. In desperation, I tweeted for help! I got it, but it was too late. Around 5:30 a.m., I came home defeated. I went to sleep and woke up with fewer itches. I kind of felt like I had hickeys all over my body - I debated even wearing a turtleneck to work... but I digress. Then, I hit major construction on Mineral Point Road on the way to work. I was so afraid I was going to be late. When I made it to work, I noticed some major, gooey, sticky stuff on my passenger car door. Kind of looked like sap or coffee. Still, DAY 1 ON AIR HAS ACTUALLY BEEN VERY GOOD... LOTS of fun. I'm coming back tomorrow! Thanks to Billy Stanley for clipping this!
