My secret santa at work was amazing! Krystal Webb (aka WISC's 6 p.m. producer) was so sweet for making these doggie treats for Minnie and Piper... and now they're addicted! The other night I was up until midnight making these little treats for the dogs. Mind you, they don't taste great if you're a human... but if you're a puppy, they're superb! Also, they've very easy to make. If you've got a dog in your life, you should try these! Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Treats:
Ingredients: 1 cup pumpkin puree 2 eggs 1/2 cup oats (optional if your dog is on a grain free diet, sub an extra 1/4 c grain free flour) 3 cups whole wheat flour, brown rice flour or gluten free flour 3 T of all natural peanut butter 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, stir together flour, oats and cinnamon. In a separate large bowl, whisk together the eggs, pumpkin and peanut butter until combined. Stir wet ingredients into dry. Pour onto a floured surface and roll out dough and cut with a cookie cutter. The dough will be sticky but dust your hands or rolling pin with flour! Bake 30 to 35 minutes (since I made thin, little snacks, I did mine for 20 min.)
