There are a few great deals at CVS this week - but fair warning, some of the coupons expire either today or tomorrow. However, with or without them, the deals are still great. Read it all the way through because it could even help you save more money. I did this all in one transaction, but it's easier if I separate the deals in my head. If you're a newbie to CVS, people sometimes break up their orders into several transactions so they can pay for their items with the Extrabucks they just accumulated. DEAL #1 - PROCTOR AND GAMBLE At CVS, if you buy $30 worth of Proctor and Gamble products, you'll get $10 back in Extrabucks. So... here's what I got: 2 Herbal Essence Shampoos, 2.99 each. [Used B1G1 coupon SS 9/16 (exp 10/31)] 2 Herbal Essense Conditioners, 2.99 each. [Used B1G1 coupon SS 9/16 (exp 10/31)] 2 Crest Pro Health rinse, 2.99 each [Used 2 coupons for 1.50 off 1 PG 9/30 (exp 10/31)] 3 Dawn Detergent, .99 each. [Used 3 coupons - .75/1 from PG that just came out 10/28] 2 Covergirl Wet Slicks lip glosses, On sale Buy One, Get One Half off. 6.99 and then 3.49 [Used 5.00/2 Covergirl Lip Products RP 9/16 (exp 10/31)] Once you pay for the items, you'll get $10 back in Extrabucks, which means you can use it on a future transaction for anything you want with the exception of tobacco or alcohol. You'll end up spending about $15.19 and get $10 back. [5.19 / 11= 48-cents each!] DEAL #2: SUAVE LOTION: Paid 50-cents for each, down from $3.49. Use Sunday coupon. Another deal - Suave lotion. It's on sale this week for $2.50, but there's a coupon out there for $2 off. At only 50-cents each, that's a pretty good deal! [Used $2.00/1 Suave Body Lotion Product RP 10/14 (exp 11/11)] DEAL #3: ROBITUSSIN, on sale for Buy One, Get One Half Off and use CVS coupon And, there's a deal on Robitussin. It's Buy One, Get One Half Price. You also get $3 back in Extrabucks for buying two. If you were lucky enough to get to the CVS coupon machine last week, then you would have printed out a coupon for $3 off any $10 purchase of cold medicine. You’ll also get $3 back in Extrabucks. TIE IT ALL TOGETHER AND SAVE EVEN MORE:
Now, here's the mother of all these deals. You can save an additional $10 if you buy everything I mentioned above and something else that costs $1.50. I chose Carmex, though looking back, I should have bought a couple of 2 liters of Coke that's on sale for 88-cents. There have been a lot of coupons from the CVS machine that give you $10 off any $50 purchase. Woot! So, I bought all of the above items, and then made sure to use my coupons in a certain order in fear of having a coupon rejected. Here's that order: My subtotal came to $50.14.
My total came to $4.74. Then, I got paid in Extrabucks. After I paid for all of that, I got $10 back in Extrabucks for my first purchase (the Proctor and Gamble deal). Then I got $3 back for my Robitussin. So at the end of the day, I actually got paid $8.26 for all of the items. Shopping at CVS makes you use your brainpower, but thankfully bloggers are taking out the hard work for the rest of us. I used The Krazy Coupon Lady to find some of the deals. And then, I used my old noggin’ for the rest. Share your deals in my upload section and I'll share them!
