If there's one thing you need to do this month, it's go to the City Stage to watch the beloved Broadway hit, Avenue Q! Avenue Q is a bit like Sesame Street, just with a few F-Bombs, puppet lovemaking and some really funny adult jokes. I saw the local production days ago and still can't get the songs out of my head! Don't judge me.
Still, that wasn't the case with Avenue Q. Our local cast is truly outstanding. And, I should add, WECT and Fox Wilmington's Heather Setzler is engaged to one of the main guys. I didn't even get squeamish about the Japanese character who spoke broken ENGRISH. I bet Big Bird would even recommend this awesome musical. It's definitely worth the five flights of stairs you'll trek when you realize the elevator at Level 5 is not working. Again. The shows run during the weekends at Level 5 through October 30th. Tickets cost less than half a tank of gas.
