I saw this a couple of weeks ago as I was walking in downtown Wilmington. You can caption this, tell me I'm overreacting, agree with me, or ignore it. This was taken on a Saturday night, after dinner. That's really all I'm going to say.

That is disappointing to see people who think that is funny.

It's a free country, but... that doesn't mean I wouldn't practice a little bit of vandalism and kick the shit out of the sign to make a point. Two wrongs, right, ...right? ...something like that.

Sick! There is NO humor in something of this nature. The business should be boycotted! I would love to see something in the news concerning this.

This is ridiculous and offensive too me! Especially since I am a female and live in (well in my case near) a college town in which rape occurs more than we are all aware. It's one thing for an individual to post or use something like this but for a business to allow and openly post that is absurd! I wouldn't have went there had I seen this and I don't think I would go there in the future.

but any woman who might be raped won't get pregnant (so say some Republicans!). However, maybe it's a typo and it's supposed to be "rapfest"???? Hope so

Elli, from your comment I assume you are a democrat like myself. My comment to your post is that "one" republican made the comment you refer to, not "some". He apologized and tried to explain that he misspoke. But the media, which has become VERY leftist, concentrated on the mistake and not the apology. As a lifelong democrat, It saddens me that the media would be so biased. In addition, the republican party asked the gentleman to step down. This didn't make the news anywhere near the "misspoken mistake" that was made. Again, biased reporting. Elli, I'm assuming you are under 35 and perhaps closer to university age. I mention this only because of your use of the term "some". Again, it was only "one". As for the rest of your comment, I hope and pray that you are correct!

Oh no no that's not Republicans, that's just one idiot who will never hold an office again!.....as for the sign -- as a woman (and if it is a typo, as someone who passed 3rd grade spelling class) i don't believe I'd step foot in that bar again just because they would hang a sign like that.

Nicole, I think they should be boycotted! If anyone would be interested I can be reached at [email protected]. We (all interested parties) CAN make a difference! Not only should women be offended but men should be as well. I know young "punks" think it's funny and/or cool, but that's because they are still BOYS! Perhaps we could convert some of them..

Ugh. Very offensive. Ppl say/write things w thinking. Ignorance is bliss. Just like Eli said above don't base opinions for an entire group of people based on one. That truly show your ignorance! As for the sign...a businesses that makes money on many girls/women drinking and it being a meat factory on the thought process of the men there-do not cool! It would be offensive no matter what type of bus. It is....but when you add the aspect above-ugh.

I'd like to think it's a typo but I don't know. My thing is that it was bad timing. Our city leaders are trying to get taxi cab drivers to look less sloppy via uniforms, but we've got a business that has a sign like this... out at at time when families could be out eating dinner. It's not just a "bar thing" at a "bar time"... this was out when kids would've been around the corner getting ice cream at Killian's. Just another thought.
