I recently wrote a little ditty on Google+ Communities for SayItSocial. If you're not familiar with SIS - you need an intervention!
SayItSocial is known for Internet marketing, advertising, SEO, tech and social media... and the people there are really helping companies learn how to use social media for business. The company has more than 400,000 followers on Facebook! Read the article Get this--They're based in Wilmington. And, the CEO is actually from Missouri, like me! (I think that's really the most important thing, don't you?) Circle: +SayItSocial +Ty Downing +Lauren Formalarie +Michelle Li +G+ Broadcasters

I've never been so happy to go through detox!! Thanks to Marcella at Tanglez, I had the chance to see what her body wraps are all about. My co-worker Deb is a really big addict, er, I mean proponent of them. So, I thought I'd give it a whirl.
First of all, I wish I could show you the step-by-step process...but I would be mortified to share the pics of my sumo-ish-spacesuit. It's funny in real life, but not so much when it lives on the Internet forever.
I thought I might freak out because I've recently discovered I'm claustrophobic. However, I did not freak out one bit. But, even Marcella will tell you to prepare for some tightness. That's one reason she checks on you every 10 minutes. One of the best parts??? She gives a kick-butt facial while you're hanging out. That was totally worth it. So... in the end, these wraps are typically done for a couple of reasons. Detox and weight loss seem to top the list. She even helps military members who need to be certain measurements. I was kind of skeptical on seeing a big change, but I actually saw 10.5 inches of me disappear! I watched her measure and everything. I lost an inch in my waist alone...and honestly could feel a difference when I put on my jeans. So, I'll come back in a month and we'll do it again! Girls on the Run is such a great group! I was invited to run with some girls from Mary C. Williams Elementary to help with a test-run for their upcoming 5k! The Girls on the Run of Coastal Carolina group says this year will be a record-breaker with more than 1200 girls participating.
The group's mission - nationwide - is to help empower young girls and give them confidence... through running. After we ran, the girls got their nails done at Earthbound Salon. What an awesome day! |
