Did Melissa McCarthy just give me super cool Crocs?

I was so surprised to get a package in the mail from "Ben and Melissa."  I immediately thought, "Who are Ben and Melissa? And why are they sending me Crocs?!"  My mind immediately went to SCAM.  Is there a new scam where people randomly send you Crocs??  Did they come from Nigeria??  Should I cancel my credit cards??

And then I saw the note:

OMG - this was from the producers of the movie Tammy!!  Duh!!

One of the many perks of living in the Southeast is getting opportunities to be in film.  I NEVER wanted to be an actress, but it was cool to get a call every now and then to play a reporter.  In a year's time, I played three reporters in two different TV shows and one movie.  

Melissa McCarthy and her husband Ben Falcone brought the movie to the Wilmington area earlier in the summer.  Don't worry, I'm not going to give anything away... but I did have an amazing experience.  I got to audition for Ben and spend time on set with him and Melissa.  I worked directly with the super hilarious Sarah Baker... and I met so many other wonderful people from hair, makeup, and the whole production.

Oh... and the reason for the Crocs?  I wouldn't know, but I'm sure you can guess...

Anyway, it's not a bad day's work!  If I had any talent, that would be a pretty sweet gig.  Regardless, I'll always have my Crocs... until my mom takes them away from me.
