My girls are smarter thanks to our recent dog training with Dog Face Training. We loved it! We had such a great time in the inaugural "Bully 101" class, a course designed specifically for bully breeds like rottweilers and pit bulls. Ultimately, we learned some good behaviors that could benefit any dog, like "touch" and "go to mat" ... the girls really loved it because they got a ton of treats!
Thank you so much to Giene Keyes and everyone at Dog Face! By the way, Saturday, you can go get your dog's picture taken with SANTA PAWS thanks to Dog Face! $5 donation is all it costs! These are our pictures from last year.

Thanks so much for letting me be a part of the 11th annual North Star Awards! What an honor to celebrate some of the best and brightest community members of the North side of Madison. I really loved seeing and meeting everyone. I wasn't able to take a lot of pictures during the event, but I will share them when I get them from the other folks who attended! Here's a quick list of the 2014 North Star Winners:
Paul Noeldner, Community Individual 100 Black Men, Community Group Diane Walder, Helping Northside Seniors John Weier, Helping Northside Youth Steve Nelson of Duwayne's Salon, Northside Business High Impact Group: Independence Day Committee High Impact Person: Ellen Barnard, FEED Kitchen Do you have secret santa at work? Ours started this week so I was thrilled when mine brought me homemade doggie treats for the girls! Don't they look delicious? I checked the ingredients and got very curious as to how they'd taste. So, you knew it would happen. NOPE. Thanks secret santa! I love the cookies! But I probably should've known to keep them for dogs only!
This is the most heartbreaking thing I've seen in a while. Parents who adopt and then fail their children by "re-homing" them to other people. We have to do better. This story also surprised me because it has ties to Wisconsin and Missouri... so some of my friends might feel closer to this. Watch the whole thing. |
